Conflict Settlement & Mediation

Detanglement with benefit

Minor conflicts occur regularly in a company because there are always areas of tension – employees and departments have different priorities and goals, and at the same time they are interdependent. If no low-threshold solutions are found, conflicts can drag on for months or years, damaging the company’s efficiency and profitability and, in the case of major conflicts, its reputation.
Conflicts in a company can have various causes: Differing views on safety as opposed to innovation, rivalry between employees or departments, loss of trust or high pressure to perform; conflicts can have grown historically and be kept alive by the corporate culture, they can arise from too much control or too little structure. Maintaining a balance between conflicting requirements is a constant challenge for a company, but at the same time a conflict can also be a development opportunity for a company – problems that were previously intangible can be addressed and tackled.

However, communication is more difficult in conflicts: preconceived opinions, mutual accusations and judgments hinder the parties from finding a constructive solution. They remain locked in a power struggle in which a lot of energy is lost. At this point, mediation can set the deadlocked situation in motion by establishing constructive communication and thus making decisions possible again.

With my support as a mediator, you and your employees can find a way of dealing with conflicts in which both sides take each other seriously. As a mediator, I create the conditions for respectful communication – one that enables the parties involved to rethink their own position, approach each other and find productive solutions based on this.

Workshops

It is better to act preventively than to resolve conflicts. My workshop on collaboration and conflict management teaches basic personal and social skills aimed at recognizing and defusing conflicts at an early stage.

Collaboration and conflict management

If a team spends a lot of energy on inefficient communication, internal processes are redundant, misunderstandings are commonplace or responsibilities are unclear, this can frustrate and demotivate employees or even cause them to resign.
This workshop provides a theoretical understanding of collaboration and conflict dynamics as well as effective communication strategies and social skills that constitute emotional intelligence. My workshops are strongly practice-oriented: Participants can immediately apply the skills they learn in everyday life – addressing sensitive issues, saying no, establishing authenticity, empathy and trust and thus strengthening collaboration and team spirit.

The workshops and training courses are tailored to the needs of the target group.
All workshops can be held in German, English, French or Italian.
